The Natural Sea Sponge Company Ltd has for many years specialised in the sourcing, processing and packaging of natural sea sponges. All the divers are registered and closely monitored to ensure the environment is fully protected.
There are 500 types of natural sea sponges known to man only 7 of which can be commercially traded.
Sea sponges big enough to use for bathing can take from 2 – 20 years to grow.
Because sea sponges are picked straight from the ocean bed their collection raises concerns for the environment. (the sea sponge is often mistaken for coral)
Due to the nature of our business these environmental issues are of paramount importance to us.We are committed to the protection of the ecosystem surrounding the sea beds in which our sponges are harvested.
There is complete quality control at The Natural Sea Sponge Company in London, where the raw material goes through a 42 hand stage production process. In addition to the extensive sponge collection we have taken great care in selecting a fine collection of superior personal bath care accessories.
The products are sourced from 23 different countries and these products perfectly complement the natural sea sponge range.
